Policy Changes

  SliverNet LLC is dedicated to providing the best web hosting service possible each of our clients. We are also dedicated to staying on top of available technology. SliverNet LLC reserves the right to change its policy at any time to meet the needs of our customers, changing laws, and/or new technology. If a policy change is necessary, SliverNet LLC will provide our clients with written notification (snail-mail and/or email) in a timely manner.

Cookie Policy

  SliverNet LLC may use cookies to help us improve our website and web hosting services, and, most importantly, provide our existing customers with the opportunity for continued savings and increased convenience.

  SliverNet LLC also may use cookies to inform us of a repeat visit. The cookie does not tell us who you are, your name, email address, and will never store passwords.

  For our customers, SliverNet LLC may use cookies to store user names for added convenience to the Webmaster and/or customer. As part of our web hosting package, SliverNet LLC offers password-protected web-based management tools. By storing the customers’ Usernames in a cookie, the Webmaster will not have to keep filling out form fields when they desire to manage their account. (The cookie does not store passwords.) SliverNet LLC is dedicated to using technology in order to simplify our customers’ lives.

SPAMMING

SliverNet LLC has zero tolerance for unsolicited bulk email (UBE) or unsolicited commercial email (UCE); this is commonly known as “spam”. This policy is intended to protect our customers as well as the internet community from the negative effects of “spam”-related activity. SliverNet LLC defines UBE/UCE as any unsolicited broadcast or commercial email that is sent to addresses that do not affirmatively and verifiably request such material from that specific sender.

Our Policies:

1. SliverNet LLC customers, and customers of SliverNet LLC customers or any user of bandwidth and/or services on our network (herein described as ‘users’) are prohibited from sending UBE/UCE. Users may be asked to produce records that verify that explicit affirmative permission was obtained from a recipient before a mailing was sent. SliverNet LLC may consider the lack of such proof of explicit affirmative permission of a questionable mailing UBE/UCE at its sole discretion.
2. SliverNet LLC customers are prohibited from maintaining open mail relays on their servers. Ignorance of the presence or operation of an open mail relay is not and will not be considered an acceptable excuse for its (the open mail relay) operation. A single infraction of this policy could result in a discontinuation of service at the sole discretion of SliverNet LLC.
3. SliverNet LLC customers will be notified in the event that they may be hosting sites listed as violators of the above policy. Failure to rectify such situations may be cause for termination of service.
4. SliverNet LLC customers are prohibited from providing hosting services for websites that have been included in UBE/UCE. Hosting includes, but is not limited to, hosting website(s), providing DNS services, and/or website redirect services.
5. Valid complaints received by SliverNet LLC will be forwarded to customer for a response and resolution. If within twenty-four (24) hours there is no response, SliverNet LLC may block traffic to and from the IP address involved in the UBE/UCE complaint until the problem is resolved and preventative measures have been implemented to prevent the violation from recurring. All users are responsible for maintaining a working email contact and updating that information with SliverNet LLC when it changes.
6. If SliverNet LLC receives repeat complaints indicating that a problem has not been resolved, SliverNet LLC reserves the right to suspend and/or cancel any and all services provided to the user after a notification of no less than two (2) hours.
